Home Schooling and The Family History Guide

The last month has been quite a challenging one for us all, with families and individuals adjusting to the “quarantine” life. Having enjoyable and useful activities to do has certainly come to the forefront in the minds of many.

This week we are excited to announce a new feature in The Family History Guide—our Home School page. It’s an enjoyable mix of learning and activities designed for all ages. The main purpose of the Home School page is to bring together the essential elements of The Family History Guide into one page. There, parents, children, and individuals can get started with family history learning easily and efficiently.

The Home School page can be found in the Activities menu of The Family History Guide. Here’s a look at what you’ll find on the page:

  • Activities—Links to the main Activities sections in The Family History Guide: Families, Individuals, Youth, and Children
  • Country Pages—Links to All Countries, the United States, England, Canada, and the Explorations video series on our YouTube Channel
  • Trees and Memories—Links to the first two FamilySearch Projects, as well as to Partner Information for Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast
  • Tracking Progress—Links to the Word and Online Tracker features
  • Come, Follow Me Companion for Latter-day Saints—Links to the home page and Activities Index
  • More from The Family History Guide—Additional features in The Family History Guide that can be useful in home schooling situations
  • Additional Resources—Links to outside resources for home schooling

We hope you enjoy the new Home School page in The Family History Guide and find many creative ways to use it!
