New in the Menu: Research Skills
For those who are new to The Family History Guide website, it might be a bit tricky knowing that the topics for research skills are found in Project 4, for each Learning Path. So we have added “Research Skills” in the main menu to make it easier to get to them. (You can still find them using the Learning Paths menu as well.)

In the Research Skills menu, there are entries for FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast. These lead you to the following Goals that are identical in each of the four platforms (examples below are shown for FamilySearch):
- Get Organized
- Learn Basics, Identify Lines
- Form a Strategy
- Develop Search Skills
- Solve Problems
- Take Family History Trips
Additionally, the following Goals are available only for specific platforms:
- FamilySearch Record Searches
- FamilySearch Research Tools
- Do Ancestry Searches
- Search for Ancestry Record Collections
- Analyze Ancestry Search Results
- Use MyHeritage Research Options
- Use Findmypast Search Menus
Other Changes
The Learning Paths menu now contains just four items: FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast. The other items that were in that menu have been moved to the bottom of the Research Skills menu:
