Janet Helland served for a number of years as the Patron Services Coordinator at the Granite FamilySearch Center in Sandy, Utah. Now she and her husband Jacob have been called on a three-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the new Ghana Takoradi mission (western Ghana, on the coast).

Before departing for her mission, Janet was kind enough to share her thoughts about The Family History Guide and the impact it had on visitors to the center. An interesting note: many of the people in the Takoradi area speak an unusual language known as Twi. Janet was delighted to find out that The Family History Guide can be translated easily into Twi by using the Select Language button on any of the website pages.
