At RootsTech 2023 we met Maribel Camarillo Gomez, who has been actively training visitors on family history at the San Diego FamilySearch Center. She helped out at our booth in the Expo Hall, helping RootsTech attendees learn more about The Family History Guide.

Maribel recently put together a great training course for FamilySearch and family history basics, featuring The Family History Guide. She has delivered several sessions of the training in San Diego, in both English and Spanish. Here’s a brief quote from Maribel about the sessions:

“These are photos from Session 1 of the training I am giving at the FamilySearch Center in San Diego. All, absolutely all computers in the center were busy (excluding the receptionist). We had to set up a salon with a projector to accommodate everyone who attended. This workshop is also broadcast via zoom and that day we had 67 people online. These photos are from the English section. I will give this same session in Spanish this Sunday at 4pm (Pacific Time).”
