Maribel’s Story

Maribel Medina is a popular family history trainer and consultant in the San Diego area. As we mentioned in a previous blog article, she will participate with other representatives from The Family History Guide Association in the upcoming Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid project about family history in the United States, for broadcast nationwide.

Recently Maribel was featured in a blog article published by FamilySearch. The article focuses on how she was able to reach out to a significant number of elderly and isolated people in her church congregation to help them connect with their ancestors. Her efforts included helping them find and share family photographs and documents, conducting oral inteviews to capture information, and more. This led to many other family members gaining an increased interest and involvement with family history.
