New QUIKLinks for FamilySearch and Findmypast
In The Family History Guide, QUIKLinks are a handy tool that helps you get right to a search screen for finding the types of records you want to search. There are QUIKLinks available for FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast record collections. Here’s a simulated QUIKLinks section from The Family History Guide, with links enabled so you can see how they work. In the examples below, FS is FamilySearch, MH is MyHeritage, AC is Ancestry, and FMP is Findmypast.
QUIKLinks
- FS: Arizona Deaths, 1870-1951 (More)
- MH: Arizona Death Certificates, 1870-1963
- AC: Arizona, County Coroner and Death Records, 1881-1971
QUIKLinks
- FS: Australia Births and Baptisms, 1792-1981 (More)
- AC: Australia Birth Index, 1788-1922
- AC: Australia Marriage Index, 1788-1950
- MH: Australia Marriages, 1810-1980
- FMP: Australia Electoral Rolls
Recently we’ve added a substantial number of new QUIKLinks, for FamilySearch and Findmypast record collections. For example, Findmypast has made hundreds of new record collections available, and we have provided QUIKLinks for many of them, with more to come.
As a note, the “More” links in the FamilySearch examples above go to details pages with extra information about the record collections.
For more information about QUIKLinks and record collections, see the Features Help page in The Family History Guide.
Happy QUIKLinking!
