Currently there are 34 Show Me videos on our YouTube Channel, in the Show Me playlist. These cover Goals for the Projects in FamilySearch, Ancestry, and MyHeritage. Each video shows screen movements that are necessary for tasks, as well as walking through the steps in The Family History Guide.

To simplify the approach, we have decided to focus just on tasks and screen movements in the Show Me videos. The steps will remain in The Family History Guide but not be duplicated in the videos. This means that we will be redoing the Show Me videos in this new format as we go forward. The videos will still have the narration, and they will be noticeably shorter than the previous Show Me videos.

Subtitles and Languages

Also included in the new Show Me videos are subtitles in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. To enable subtitles in another language,

1. Click the CC button on the YouTube screen.
2. Click the Settings wheel and select Subtitles.
3.  Select your language from the list.
4. If you need subtitles in a language that is not listed, click Auto-translate and select your language from the list that appears.

We may add more languages for subtitles in the future.

We will have several more videos ready to go in the next few days, replacing the older Show Me videos. The goal is to replace the entire Show Me playlist with the new videos over the next few months. We hope you enjoy the new approach to the Show Me videos!
