The 2023 BYU Intern Fair for Family History
From our Executive Director, Bob Ives:
“In 2015 The Family History Guide Association reached out to the BYU Family History Department, and they have provided us with student interns. Since then we have been blessed to have had twelve very talented and committed students in the past fill that role for us. These students are usually Family History majors or minors and are looking for real-world work experience. They receive course credit for their twelve-week internship, working closely with Bob Taylor, our Development Director. They work from home via Zoom and other electronic means, on a variety of tasks that are suited to their expertise and personal goals.
Last week the BYU Family History Department held its annual Internship Fair on the BYU campus. We have participated every year in this event, giving prospective interns the opportunity to meet and talk with our staff. This year had our next intern, Kaylee Lynn (who starts in May) help staff our table at the Fair. There was a large crowd of students looking for internships, and there was a huge amount of interest in The Family History Guide. We had over fifteen potential candidates sign up to learn more about internship opportunities.”
