ViewPoint with Dennis Quaid: Filming Update

This week we completed the video filming for our partnership project with ViewPoint and The Family History Guide Association. The next step will be video editing, a process that will take about five to six weeks. Then the PBS video, documentary video, and 30-second commercial will be released nationwide sometime between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Those who were interviewed on camera for the project include:

  • David Rencher, FamilySearch Chief Genealogical Officer and President of the Board of Directors of the National Genealogical Society
  • Bob Ives, Executive Director of The Family History Guide Association
  • Bob Taylor, Development Director and creator of The Family History Guide website
  • Angelle Anderson, Marketing Director
  • Scott Anderson, Public Relations Director
  • Maribel Medina, Training Representative
  • Olivia Jewell, Family History Activities Specialist
  • Ella Jewell, Youth Family History Ambassador

It was a busy and exciting day of filming in Utah. Below are some pictures we captured of the proceedings; we hope you enjoy them! We will provide an update when the finished videos are ready for broadcast, which should be some time after Thanksgiving.
