Charles Scott Olgilvie served in the Scottish military and was recorded on the War Trust Roll of honor. Locate the entry regarding his service from "The Scots at War" site and answer the following questions:

1. Though he was born in Scotland, what other countries might we look for records in to learn more about Charles?
2. What was his birth and death date?
3. What other record types might this information lead to?

• In the Scots at War site, on the left side select the top option ("Roll of Honor.")
• Click "View the Scots at War Trust Roll of Honour."
• Click "O," then scroll a short ways down until you see Charles Ogilvie's name.
• Read the paragraph on Charles to answer the research questions.

1. Other countries to search for records include France, Canada, and Germany.
2. Charles's birthdate was 19th December 1886, and his death date was 28th August 1939.
3. We may consider looking at any public work records for the jobs that Charles held. We would want to look for the original records of Charles' military enlistment (this will be easier because we are given the dates). We would also search for any POW records and marriage records.
