From Come, Follow Me :
Consider reading Alma 5:14–33 as if you were interviewing yourself and examining your heart. You may want to record your responses to the questions. What do you learn about yourself? What do you feel inspired to do as a result of your interview?
“The refining influence of family history work can increase our own capacity for love. If we grow to love people long since dead, who lived very differently from us, then will we not come to realize how loving and merciful God is toward us? And can we not then love our families and neighbors and be compassionate with their shortcomings?” Amy Harris, How Family History Changes Our Hearts and Minds
Copy each of the blessings listed below on small pieces of paper and put them into a basket. In a group or as a family, take turns drawing them out one-by-one and discussing the reasons why you would want that particular blessing in your life.
After the discussion activity, ask, "What one thing can we do to have these incredible blessings in our lives and in the lives of those we love?" Refer to Elder Renlund's talk (see above). Make plans together to do more temple and family history work to receive these blessings. Read more here.
See The Promised Blessings of Temple and Family History Work 1 and 2.
Everyone is at a different place in his or her temple work and family history journey, and can progress at a personal speed. See the bulletin board below to learn about taking your next step.

Weekly Family History Activities: A Come, Follow Me Companion
If you are reading this, then you already know that the Weekly Family History Activities: A Come, Follow Me Companion can help you do more temple work and family history, (and bless you and your family in a multitude of ways) as you enjoy related activities correlated to each lesson. See the video below for ideas and inspiration.
The following activity is one of the activities used as an example in the above video (timestamp 4:14). See also Activity #4 in the Youth Activities section. This activity is also described in the Kids Corner section.
Have a quick scavenger hunt in your house (or at a relative's home) to see how many things you can find that are about your family history such as birth certificates, a family bible, pictures and scrapbooks, or anything that reminds you of the past. If the items are moveable you can make a display, and if not, you can take pictures to share. Create a name for your "family history museum," and listen to stories about the items. Remember to have someone record the stories as they are told to create a Digital Museum to view often.
“I perceive that ye are in the paths of righteousness.”
From Come, Follow Me :
Look for things Alma taught that can help you stay “in the path which leads to the kingdom of God” (Alma 7:19).
“Sister Nelson: It is my testimony that however fabulous your life is right now, or however discouraging and heartbreaking it may be, your involvement in temple and family history work will make it better. What do you need in your life right now? More love? More joy? More self-mastery? More peace? More meaningful moments? More of a feeling that you’re making a difference? More fun? More answers to your soul-searching questions? More heart-to-heart connections with others? More understanding of what you are reading in the scriptures? More ability to love and to forgive? More ability to pray with power? More inspiration and creative ideas for your work and other projects? More time for what really matters?
I entreat you to make a sacrifice of time to the Lord by increasing the time you spend doing temple and family history work, and then watch what happens. It is my testimony that when we show the Lord we are serious about helping our ancestors, the heavens will open and we will receive all that we need.
President Nelson: We can be inspired all day long about temple and family history experiences others have had. But we must do something to actually experience the joy ourselves. I would like to extend a challenge to each one of us so that the wonderful feeling of this work can continue and even increase. I invite you to prayerfully consider what kind of sacrifice—preferably a sacrifice of time—you can make in order to do more temple and family history work this year.
We are engaged in the work of Almighty God. He lives. Jesus is the Christ. This is His Church. We are His covenant children. He can count on us.” Open the Heavens through Temple and Family History Work
Decide how you can accept our prophet’s invitation to do more temple and family history work without becoming overwhelmed. Sometimes all of us just need a little help finding what is best for each situation. See this blog post. Check out ideas in the Weekly Family History Activities, The Family History Guide, and FamilySearch , and make a plan.
President and Sister Nelson invite all church members to make a sacrifice of time to do family history and temple work (see Open the Heavens through Temple and Family History Work). An idea to make this a reality comes from an address Sister Wendy Nelson.
She offered the invitation to busy, overburdened sisters to do some temple and family history work each day for 21 days and then to watch what happened. She was concerned that adding one more thing to their list of things "to do" would make them even more burdened but the opposite was true for all who participated. Even a few minutes per day helped them to see miracles in their lives and the lives of their families. Although this challenge was given to sisters of the church, it is applicable to everyone.
Discuss ideas and options and make a plan! You may also want to join the Facebook group for The Twenty-one Day Family Connections Experiment. Read more here and see The Family Connections Experiment.
Check out 5-Minute Ideas for Latter-day Saints with the idea in mind that temple and family history work includes many facets, and can be fit into many different time frames. See Family Activities: Anytime Activities and Games. Make good use of the Activities Index.

How does it help us to know that Jesus understands our struggles? How do we receive His help? Share your testimony of Jesus Christ.
See Week 16: Family History Activities, 2022 for ways to record and share your testimony.
One idea is to write a story about your life as you study each Come, Follow Me lesson. What would you like your posterity to know about your testimony?
