2026-07-29    Delayed Records of Birth: If there was no record made at the time of a birth, some states will provide a delayed birth record, as a substitute for a birth certificate. These records may be even more valuable than the original certificates given at the birth, because the person applying for the delayed certificate has to provide proof of his or her own birth.
