Use the Select Language button on any page.
4. Is there a printed version of The Family History Guide?
No, but you can use the Print button in the header are of most pages to selectively print what you want.
5. How do you find something quickly in the website?
Use the Search button (magnifying glass) in the header. You can also use the Topics page (Intro menu).

1. What are the large "boxes" of information called in the Family History Guide, and where are they found?

It provides descriptions for a number of records databases referenced in The Family History Guide.

1. How do you subscribe to The Family History Guide blog?
Choose Blog in the Media menu and fill out the Subscribe info on the right side of the page.

3. Where is the Overview video found for The Family History Guide?

Countries
1. What happens when you click the British Isles item in the Countries menu?
A submenu of British Isles country pages appears. Click one to go to that country page.
2. Where can you find an alphabetical list of major countries (ones with the most records) in The Family History Guide?
Click All Countries in the Countries menu.
3. Where can you find an alphabetical list of minor countries (ones with fewer records) in The Family History Guide?
In the All Countries page, click the More Countries link (just below the alphabetical list of countries).
4. How do you find pages for ethnic research?
Click the Ethnic link, near the bottom of the Countries menu.
5. What are QUIKLinks, and where do you find them?
QUIKLinks are links that take you directly to record search screens in FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast. Any Goal that has a lightning-bolt icon has QUIKLinks; scroll down in the Goal page to see them.

1. In which Goal section of the United States page would you find passenger records?

3. In the main United States page, how do you get to the individual U.S. state pages?
Under the Statue of Liberty picture, click a state link.

Misc.
1. What is the purpose of the Vault?
It has links to extra articles and videos that are secondary in importance to the ones in the main part of the site.
2. How can you move quickly back and forth between the Vault and the correpsonding page in the main part of the site?
In the Vault page, click a Main link. In the Main part of the site, click the Vault link in the Choice to return to the Vault page.
3. What is the only part of The Family History Guide that requires a username and password?
The Online Tracker
4. In the Online Tracker, how do you know whether you should move a slider bar to Good or Proficient?
Refer to the Exercises link for the Choice, in the Project text. If you achieved a Good level, move the slider bar to Good; if you achieved a Proficient level, move the slider bar to proficient.
5. There are star icons before most article and video links in The Family History Guide. What is their purpose, and how do you use them?
When a star is darkened, it indicates that you have read the article or watched the video. Log in to the Online Tracker and then click a star to darken it.
6. How can you see all the stars you have darkened, in one place?
Click Stars in the Online Tracker header area to run a Stars report.
7. How do you let The Family History Guide Association know about a question or problem with the site?
Use the Contact Us link in the Misc. menu.
8. Where can instructors find resources for teaching with The Family History Guide?
