Charles Thibault was married April 1866 to Marie Anathalie Viau. Use the "FS: Quebec Catholic Parish Registers, 1621-1979" QUIKLink and associated records to answer these questions:
- What were the residences of the parents of the groom and parents of the bride?
- Did both the bride and groom sign the marriage document? How do we know?
- Following Charles's patrilineal (male) line, what was the name of his ancestor who was born in France but died in New France (Quebec)?
- In the FamilySearch collection noted above, search for Charles Thibault.
- Use the index transcription to answer the first question and the record image to answer the second question.
- In "Attached in Family Tree to" (upper right) click the link for Charles Thibault and find the answer to the third question in FamilySearch Family Tree.
- The groom's parents were living in Saint-Alexandre-d'Iberville; the bride's parents were living in De Cette Paroisse.
- Signatures of both the bride and groom can be seen at the end of entry 94 in the online record for the parish book.
- Charles's ancestor who was born in France and died in Quebec was Guillaume Thibaut.
