Goal 4: MyHeritage Inbox



Goal 4: Manage your MyHeritage Inbox.


You can communicate with other MyHeritage users using your MyHeritage Inbox, sending and receiving messages.


Choices


A Read and send messages.


  1. To access your Inbox, click the envelope icon (upper-right corner).
  2. To read an Inbox message, click its title. A Reply window opens at the bottom of the message.
  3. Type your response in the Reply window and click Send.
  4. To see information about the message sender and his or her family site, click the message sender's name or picture. Click the Back button to return to your Inbox.
  5. To compose and send an email,
    a) Click Compose message;
    b) Type the email address of the recipient;
    c) Fill in the Subject and Message fields, and
    d) Click Send.
  6. To show messages you have sent, click "Sent messages".
  7. To select Inbox messages for an Action, click "All" (selects all messages); "None" (clears previous selections); "Read" (selects all message you have read); or "Unread" (selects all messages that have not been read).
  8. To perform an Action on messages you have selected, click Select All, Select None, Move to Archive, or Delete.

B Check notifications and handle messages.


  1. To delete a message in your Inbox, select the message and click Delete.
  2. To archive a message from your Inbox, select the message(s) to be archived and click Move to Archive.
  3. To restore one or more messages from your archive to your Inbox,
    a) Click Archive,
    b) Select the message(s); and
    c) Click Restore from archive.
  4. To delete messages from the archive, select them and click Delete.
  5. To check for notifications, click Notifications.
  6. To disable email alerts from MyHeritage about new messages received, click Settings and clear the "New messages" checkbox.
